Hosting Options

Hosting a Traffic Exchange presents many unique challenges. Databases must be configured to handle higher transaction loads, and other features and options have to be limited or controlled for security. As a result, many hosting companies have placed "no traffic exchange" clauses in their agreement.

That's why we at VariSearch decided to offer parts of our own servers for traffic exchange hosting. We won't promise to be the least expensive, but we will promise to work to bring your system up, and keep it up as much as possible. And we do KNOW traffic exchanges.

If you host with us, a basic hosting agreement includes:

• Up to 3 domains per account, and up to 10 sub-domains
• FTP and cPanel access
• Up to 10 email addresses, and to 3 listsrv accounts
• cgi.bin availability (sorry, no shell access)
• 3 Gb of site storage
• 60 Gb/month of bandwidth
• 3 MySQL databases (including one for the exchange)
• PHP 4 or better, Perl and CGI support
• PHP BBS software, PHP MyChat, Agora shopping cart

A basic hosting agreement costs $35.00 per month.
